Go-Live for a Nordic Wholesaler: A Key Milestone in a Broader Dynamics 365 Rollout

GoLive

We have reached a significant milestone in our implementation for a global wholesale company specializing in cooling technology. We have finished the first go-live in their new Dynamics 365 solution, which is now up and running across two Nordic countries and eight legal entities, including two manufacturing sites.

This milestone is part of their larger transformation, which involves rolling out Dynamics 365 in phases across the organization.

From the start, the focus has been on building a scalable solution that supports the company’s day-to-day operations while also enabling future growth and modernization.

Key Outcomes from Phase One

In this initial phase, we’ve tackled several critical areas:

  • Intercompany Ordering: We implemented a new process for intercompany orders, making it easier for teams across countries and sites to collaborate, plan, and fulfill requests.

  • Supply Chain Redesign: A significant redesign of the supply chain removed unnecessary complexity, increased control, and aligned processes with business goals.

  • Modern Warehouse Operations: The introduction of mobile equipment in the warehouses improved how tasks are handled on the floor, speeding up processes and enabling more accurate tracking.

  • Smarter Processes with Power Apps: To avoid heavy customizations, we used Power Apps to adapt standard processes in a flexible and cost-efficient way. This approach gives the business better control over future changes.

A key cornerstone

While this is a big step, it’s only one part of the bigger picture. What we’ve delivered here is not just a working solution; it’s the first part of the platform that reflects the client’s way of working and supports their ability to future-proof their business and scale long-term.

This phased implementation is carefully planned to ensure quality at each step. It also gives the organization time to adopt new ways of working, build internal knowledge, and prepare for the next rollout phases.

Why choosing the right partner matters

Every implementation has its own challenges. In this case, multiple sites, legal entities, and processes had to be aligned in one platform without losing the nuances that make each part of the business unique.

This project shows the importance of working closely with the client to understand the real needs, balancing global templates with local requirements, and staying focused on long-term usability.

At Engage, we don’t just deliver solutions—we partner with our clients to ensure the system works in practice, not just on paper. This go-live is one more example of that approach in action.
